The distance from Sydney to Siem Reap, Cambodia, is 7,252km. That’s around 9,572,640 steps. This April, I am proud to be part of a team that is virtually walking the distance to Cambodia.

By supporting my participating in Walk to Cambodia, you will help me raise funds to provide education to Cambodian children living in poverty. Children like *Clay.

Clay is an eight-year old girl who would cry every day when her mother brought her to school. Born prematurely, Clay was much smaller than the other students and felt scared to be amongst bigger kids. With persistence from her teacher and dedication from her mother who wasn’t afforded an education herself, Clay’s behaviour eventually started to change. Clay graduated from preschool in 2017 and made the transition to public school where she is now studying in grade two whilst also attending Khmer and English classes at Human and Hope Association.

Clay has a bright future because of Human and Hope Association, and I want to make sure other children like Clay are afforded the same opportunity. Because of your generosity, we will be able to continue to make grassroots change in Cambodia.

Thank you for your support.

I am a troubled but fun kind of human.

I am passionate about life with dignity.

I am the President of Human and Hope Association’s governing board, and also a supporter of this great community centre.

Currently, I work, play and dream big together with 47 artists and 70 team members in Phare Performing Social Enterprise (PPSE) in her mission of supporting Phare Ponleu Selpak school, providing professional opportunities for Cambodian youth and revitalizing arts in Cambodia. I was a student at Phare Ponleu Selpak Association in 2001 in my High School Year in Battambang.

I was later an interpreter at Phare and joined the first group of performing artists on awareness theatre/circus performance tours to educate rural Cambodian populations on landmines, malaria, dengue fever and other public health and safety issues.

I spent 13 years of my professional careers in travel, tourism, hospitality and events management in Cambodia.  I embarked on the journey on artists career and social programs sustainability in 2013. I have a keen interest in business and personal development and entrepreneurship. My dream is to develop and enhance a strongly reputable and internationally recognized Cambodian brand which Phare already is.
